Hi, I’m John Duffield, and thanks for stopping by my about page …

How I got here:
UMACS Business World was started in 2003 in Australia after I decided to create my own income, rather than depend on someone else for this. I started out as an independent consultant for about two years. This path eventually led to working as a trainer, first in Australia, and then as a teacher in many parts of S.E Asia, including China, Saudi Arabia, India, Malaysia, and Taiwan, several times a year. Since returning to Australia full-time in late 2015, I worked as an online trainer/assessor for a local college, and since 2021 I have been concentrating on UMACS Business World, which is now my full-time focus.

What I am doing now:
I have been mainly concentrating on updating this site, writing on Medium, developing a range of online courses, eBooks, and workbooks, and updating my YouTube channel amongst other things!
